Codag

The questions we get most.

How do I turn Codag off or uninstall it?

Run codag disable to detach from your agents and keep the CLI, or codag uninstall to also remove the local service and its data. Both restore your previous agent configuration from the ownership manifest Codag saved at attach time.

Where do I see what Codag is saving me?

Run codag savings for measured tokens avoided and estimated dollars saved, or open the Codag console for the workspace view with per-action and per-agent breakdowns. Dollar figures are estimates computed from public model prices.

What happens when something goes wrong?

Your agent gets the original tool output byte for byte. Codag fails open on timeouts, validation failures, unknown tool types, and exhausted quotas. Run codag doctor to rerun the production health checks, and codag disable to detach cleanly at any time.

Which agents are supported?

Claude Code and Codex at launch. codag setup detects and attaches both automatically. Other tools may be detected and reported, but Codag never modifies an agent it does not fully support. Broader support is coming.

How do I get started?

Codag is sold to teams: book a demo and we set up a 14-day pilot on your real workload, no card. Once your workspace is active, each developer installs the CLI and runs codag setup once, then uses Claude Code or Codex normally; there is no wrapper command. See the quickstart for details.
